DOPO Tournament Koriyama 5/18/2013

Hey you guys haven't posted in a while been extremely  with work and trying to get things ready for my birthday. Well the tournament went really well and the actual decks that made it to the top were nothing but 3 Prophecy and 1 E-Dragon, i was surprised cause i am so use to seeing verz and E-Dragons at the final table. But this round goes to the magic users. So all the decks that i saw were

Since the Extra pack Sword of nights came out it seems like all the mermail players that were sleeping are waking up. I did get a profile for one of the mermail decks,So lets get into it.

So there was a third but he left before i could get a deck profile on him he was a e-dragon player. Now the story i have to tell about the guy in forth place is kinda silly. I asked him his name and he said pokemasu,i said are you sure i don't think that's you're name. He says there reason why that's his name is because he is a pocket masturbator. I was like wtf but it was all in good fun he told me he likes cross porn and in America its called xxx porn. So what i gathered from the guy is that he likes porn and he like to play pocket poll got it don't touch his hands. lmao. Ycs New Jersey Satoshi Kato top 16

Hey you guys i am back with a special report YCS New Jersey just passed and well Mermails took the crown of this YCS but there were great decks playing in the tournament. But we had one of the ocg players go and play there also. You guys should know him and if you don't no worries you are about to get to know him today.  He went to YCS to win going into top 16 he had only one loss and that was to dino fist. He went into the fray fighting but didn't make it out to top 8 he was stopped by a mermail player. It was really good to see someone from the ocg go and play at YCS New Jersey.  Here is his deck and it was very clever so many things that could be done with this deck. Good job Satoshi Kato next you will be number one!

Diamonds in the rough

So I look at all news that is ocg and tcg related,and well the crazy e-dragon empire and the Magical empire are at each others throats. Thats just what i have seen from shriek  there were four decks that caught my eye and they are Agent,hunder,gravekeepers and a deck called TOD. I was rather impressed by the decks cause they werent e-dragons or prophecy. So here are the four decks I came across.

 1st place TOD deck Manga warehouse Ogura store tournament may 6th

1st place Hunder deck  A-book store Nogata tournament may 6th

1st place Agents Popai Nagao shop tournament may 6th

2nd place Gravekeeper's  Popai Nagao shop tournament may 6th

I would like to see more things like this instead of the super meta decks. These decks beat out the rest so they are doing something right. Thank you for reading next up will be Satoshi Kato infernity deck he took to YCS New Jersey.

Ok.Who the hell let the bear in the room?

I like all decks weather it be the overwhelming destructive force known as E-dragons or the great magic of the prophecy and even the gadgets have stood the test of the time. One of my good friends play fire fist and he loves them to death but he cant play them how they are now cause they don't have full power like the other decks. And in all honesty we really dont know when they will get it. But this is what leads to innovation,most people will let the deck go for something a little more dangerous to fit into there arsenal. But thats fine fire fist and the monsters they use can be splashed into almost any beast warrior deck. I also think tenki might go to 1 but we will see. Now lets talk about the bear that is in my house right now,he is kinda dangerous and also being seen as a power-up to certain decks like Sacred,war-gods and hell they even have there own night beam.

In all honesty this might be a short term answer that they need to make it into the meta. The Verz is here to keep the balance of power and i don't see why all that responsibility has to fall on one deck.
So i am here to introduce you to a guy name Tatsuya he plays Sacred and i like what i saw cause he is utilizing the fire fist cards cause some of the Sacred are beast warrior and also bear adds a little more bite to the deck.

I honestly thought he was going to run two bears but he said all he needed was one. The deck locks you out people,you can't do anything all the hate for almost all the decks. I will have to change the name of this deck to batman cause he got all the tools. ;) But the deck work really well and i would love to see someone try better. It would be cool to see. Hieratic dragons can they still make it in the ocg and tcg?

 Hey you guys this is another report from Syndicate-r ocg. I have been trying to find a deck that can still work in the ocg and tcg and well i found one that deserves a little more love then what it's letting on. Hieratic is the word of the day,these dragons have amazing effects but since they put red eyes to 1 so that they can try and stop chaos dragons it also went ahead an hurt a deck that was trying to shine bright. Hieratic is still famous for the gishki hieratic loop but even that has faded away. So i decided to look a little deeper then usual and i found something interesting I found a guy at my local that plays them and well he knows what he is doing. He made a couple of tweaks to the over all monster lineup and did his homework. For these dragons to shine in the meta like they were suppose to they will also have another shot when the Blue-eyes white dragon structure deck comes out. But enough of me talking let me show you the pilot and the deck itself.

I really like the deck and he has done a great job of working things out with the monsters. That psychic monster and the wind e-dragon adds a lot to the deck making it possible to xyz faster then ever before. I hope he keeps working at it cause if  he does i think him and the deck he made will get the popularity it deserves.

So there is a sixsome happening tomorrow at DOPO.

Well at DOPO they are having a 3vs3 tournament in yugioh and well I don't have a team.  I wish I did have a team so that I could play but no worries I will get some deck profiles. I am going to start my contest real soon stay tuned :) syndicate-r is always watching.

DOPO Tournament Koriyama 4/27/2013

I am going to say this players from the ocg love there card games and when i mean love they put their cards in four sleeves. I wish i was kidding but im not so, on to the topic at hand I saw a lot of decks being play at this tournament. I saw a lot of E-dragons and a lot of Magical, people were playing them to fit their style and it was cool to watch. I was going to play in the tournament but I got there kinda late so i was forced to watch them kick each others asses. There were 27 people at this tournament and it when i mean i saw a lot of different decks i mean i saw a lot of different decks.

So after all the dueling their were four people who made it to the top and had to battle it out. The final four were:

The matches were nice and long but in the end they were all battling for there rightful place 1,2,3,4.
I was really hoping that the inzektor player was going to beat the verz but it didn't happen that way at all.

The final four all got credit ranging from 60,40,20,10. And that was the end of the tournament i was really hoping that the two under dog decks would face each other maybe next time. It was good to see people duel again. Japanese players are really nice and kind, some of them spoke enough English so that we could communicate. Card games on motorcycles,Not really!

Hello, if you are reading this you are one of my first viewers congratulations. Nooo you don't get a prize but what you do get is coverage of the ocg and all the cool cards it has to offer. I left America roughly a month ago and well I needed to find something to do with the time,I play cards games yes I know girls love guys who play card games. But the fact of the matter is where I'm living it's kinda hard to play Yugioh. So I went on a journey and this is when the Pokemon music starts. I live in ishikawa-machi in fukushima prefecture and like i said before there is no card shop in this town well there is but it's only for Duel Masters. And lupin don't play any Duel Masters looks like a cool game but its not for me. So back to the topic at hand I had to find a card shop so I did, I found one in koriyama and the name of the shop is called DOPO it is like a Japanese flea market but like 10 million times better then an American flea market.  There are two DOPO in koriyama the first one I went to was really cool the second one is where the magic happens. Oh and to let you know in the ocg if you have an American deck and you come to japan you can still play you're American cards that is one of the best things ever. For vanguard I don't know but I will look into that when i go to the vanguard tournaments. Welcome to my blog I will be doing deck profiles and trying to get interviews with the duelist and the riders of the vanguards. I will also be doing prizes later on like deck boxes, sleeves and cards if people are interested. This is only one of two blogs i am doing a blog on video games,anime,toys,manga and food.
